Why liver support matters
The liver is your dog's main processing hub. It's involved in digestion, hormone balance, immune regulation, and clearing out everyday waste products from normal metabolism, medication, and general day-to-day life. Glycine works alongside these to support the liver's natural conjugation pathways, the process by which the liver packages up waste products for safe removal.
Milk thistle (silymarin) is one of the more established liver support ingredients, used for its role in protecting liver cells and supporting healthy bile production.
TUDCA is a naturally occurring bile acid that supports healthy bile flow, important since bile is one of the main routes the body uses to clear fat-soluble waste. This can be especially relevant for dogs with sluggish digestion or a history of gallbladder issues.
Carnosine helps intercept some of the reactive compounds (AGEs) that form when food is heavily processed at high heat, common in many commercial pet foods.
Broccoli sprout extract (sulforaphane) supports the body's own natural antioxidant defences.
Chlorella and humic/fulvic acids support gut barrier health and the body's natural ability to bind and clear certain compounds through the digestive tract.
