Medicinal mushrooms have been used therapeutically for thousands of years – and the modern research is finally catching up with what traditional medicine has known all
along. For dogs, they're one of the most powerful immune support tools available, particularly for senior dogs, dogs fighting chronic illness, and dogs in cancer recovery.
This elixir contains five mushroom species – Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps – each chosen for their specific immune-modulating, adaptogenic and
anti-inflammatory properties. Critically, these are sourced from whole fruiting bodies, not mycelium grown on grain. That distinction matters enormously for potency – whole fruiting body extracts contain significantly higher levels of the beta-glucans that drive the immune benefits.
It's a liquid tincture, which means rapid absorption and easy dosing – just drops into food once or twice daily. Free from alcohol, glycerine and artificial additives.
Best for dogs with:
✔ Cancer diagnoses (alongside vet care – do not use as a replacement)
✔ Chronic infections or recurring illness
✔ Autoimmune conditions
✔ Immune deficiency or suppression
✔ Senior dogs needing deeper immune and vitality support
✔ Any dog you want to build long-term immune resilience in
A note on cancer: Turkey Tail and Maitake in particular have the strongest research
base for canine oncology support. If your dog has a cancer diagnosis, please book a
consultation so we can build a full protocol around their specific needs.
Australian-made using 100% human-grade ingredients.
REISHI
Historical records surrounding the medicinal use of Reishi mushrooms extend over thousands of years. Traditionally in China, it was employed religiously by Taoist monks to attain a long and healthy life. Reishi is noted for its adaptogenic, immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory activity and is often prescribed for patients with autoimmune conditions, chronic bacterial and viral infections, and inflammatory disorders, for cancer prevention and as an adjunct to chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Reishi is considered to be a primary phytomedicine for immune dysregulation and fatigue due to chronic disease.
SHIITAKE
Shiitake is one of the most used medicinal mushrooms in the Orient due to its powerful effects in reducing the risk of chronic disease development and progression, and to prevent premature ageing. Shiitake is considered a nutritive functional food and is highly regarded for its production of the beta-glucan lentinan, which is responsible for some of the mushroom’s anticancer activity and bioactive effects upon the immune system. Shiitake is an immune strengthening tonic with extensive organ-protective activity; especially indicated in cases involving chronic or recurring illness.
MAITAKE
Maitake is prized in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a medicinal mushroom to enhance Qi, fortify the immune system and improve vitality. Maitake was also treasured for its longevity properties and was thought to bring vigour to the body. This medicinal mushroom is a profound immunomodulating phytomedicine that helps to fortify bodily defences against disease-causing pathogens and agents and is specifically indicated in cases of cancer and cancer prevention, as well as hepatic/endocrine disturbances.
TURKEY TAIL
Turkey Tail has been used as a traditional medicine for thousands of years for improving liver and spleen function, removing toxins, increasing energy and spirit and enhancing the immune response. TCM use of Turkey Tail includes the treatment of cough, asthma, bronchitis, cancer, cirrhosis, hepatitis and rheumatoid arthritis. Turkey Tail also has a long traditional use as a medicine in the treatment of cancer and illnesses related to immune deficiency.
CORDYCEPS
Cordyceps is valued as a tonic herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is used to treat a wide range of disorders including respiratory, kidney, liver, cardiovascular, and hyperlipidaemia, as well as being used as a tonic to promote energy, reduce fatigue, and strengthen the body after serious illness. Currently, Cordyceps is utilised as an immune and nervine adaptogen that is specific for pathogen-induced inflammation and immune dysregulation. Furthermore, Cordyceps has an affinity for the kidneys and is considered to be a renoprotective phytomedicine. It also has an affinity for the lungs where it may improve pulmonary function in conditions such as asthma and bronchitis. As a potent adaptogen, Cordyceps profoundly supports the body during chronic illness, and especially during an infection.
